Fabian Wilk
I write code that analyses data (and sometimes just for fun)
I also enjoy tinkering with electronics and computers
I take pictures with my trusty Nikon DSLR and sometimes share them
I like watching movies and complain about scientific accuracy
I studied physics in Göttingen
I then discovered the fascinating world of elementary particle physics
I studied extreme cases of energy deposition in silicon volumes
I investigated the physical limitations to the spatial resolution of silicon detectors
I worked on a measurement of time reversal violation
I moved to Manchester to do a PhD with the ATLAS experiment
I worked on measuring production rates of elementary particles
I also worked on simulation studies for upgrading the ATLAS experiment
I performed a measurement of the colour flow QCD effect
I lived in the Geneva area to work at CERN
I also did plenty of hiking in France and Switzerland
I have finished my PhD and for now left the field of particle physics
I now live in Oldenburg with my partner Sara
I finally have a garden to grow my own veggies
